Ceramic Coating Specialist & Paint Consultant (Part-Time, Mobile)

Duluth Detail is a locally owned mobile auto detailing company, and we're growing our ceramic coating line. We're hiring an experienced coating specialist who is also great with people. You'll meet customers, assess their paint, recommend the right solution, and then do the correction and coating work yourself. You close the job and you finish the job.

25-40 hours per week to start, with room to grow as our coating work grows.

Your earnings

- $18-$22/hour based on experience

- 5% commission on every coating job you close from your paint assessments

- Customer tips, typically around 10% of the job price

- Coating jobs run $750-$2,000, so commission and tips commonly add $100 per job on top of your hourly pay

What you'll do

- Run paint assessments with customers: inspect the paint, explain the options (correction, coating packages), and set honest expectations

- Earn the customer's trust and close the job

- Perform paint correction (machine polishing, defect removal) and surface prep

- Apply ceramic coatings and finish them cleanly

- Show up on time for scheduled assessments and installs, and keep customers informed

What we're looking for

- Hands-on experience with ceramic coatings and paint correction (the more, the better)

- Strong people and sales skills. You're comfortable talking price and guiding a customer to a decision without being pushy

- Reliability. Customers book on specific days, and we need someone who's there

- Valid driver's license

What we provide

- All tools, products, and equipment

- A steady, growing stream of coating customers and assessments

- Real ownership of our ceramic coating service line

- Room to move into a full-time role

To apply: Answer the screening questions and we'll reply within 24 hours.
