Dulaney Eye Institute is searching for an enthusiastic, patient focused, Full Time, Clinical Support Technician for our Towson, Md. office. Our preferred candidate would be a Certified Nursing Assistant or Certified Medical Assistant with a background in patient care and have some background in medical receptionist responsibilities.

The Clinical Support Technician is responsible for assisting with the implementation of quality peri-operative nursing care. Cooperates as a health team member with other members of the peri-operative system, as well as those within the administrative system. Responsible for assisting with the administration of nursing care in a competent manner as well as working with our Patient Services Representative team as needed.  

Responsibilities

• Assists with the safe transportation of patients to and from an individual operating room as needed
• Assists with patient positioning in accordance with established standards as requested
• Assists with providing for patient safety/privacy
• Accepts delivery of supplies and equipment from outside vendors
• Completes facility environmental projects as directed
• Assists with maintaining clean linen par levels
• Packages medical waste for removal according to established standards
• Performs minor facility repairs and maintenance as needed
• Cleans and maintains clinical area including stretchers and carts
• Participates in appropriate meetings
• Participate in adverse incident reporting program
• Other duties as assigned
• New hire training on all systems and office practices
• Training support and communication of all ASC information  
• Proficient in all ASC operations

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED
• One year experience
• Ability to handle stressful work environment; comfortable performing a variety of projects in conjunction with normal activities
• Organization and problem-solving skills, proficient with Microsoft application
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as doctor’s notes
• Excellent Customer Service
• Self-Starter
• Professional Leadership Skills
• Travel to offices within network required
