Perform specialized mechanical duties in the repair, inspection and routine maintenance of heavy and light automotive equipment.
Work Performed
- Perform mechanical duties in the repair, inspection and maintenance of diesel and gasoline powered buses, trucks, cars and other power driven equipment, with guidance and direction from upper level personnel.
- Assist in the machining of parts for automotive equipment and machinery according to specifications.
- Prepare necessary records pertaining to work performed.
- Assist in maintaining inventory of equipment, supplies and materials.
- Follow a predetermined preventative maintenance program on buses, trucks, cars and other power driven equipment.
- Provide technical guidance and direction to lower level personnel.
- Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
