Responsibilities
- Perform on-site diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on construction equipment and Aerial Lifts at customer jobsites.
- Travel daily in a company-provided service van to respond to customer service calls in the field.
- Repair, service, and maintain electrical, hydraulic, chassis, pump systems, safety services, and body service issues related to all types of construction equipment.
- Perform maintenance and inspections in accordance with NFPA, OSHA, ANSI, and manufacturer requirements as well as company safety regulations.
- When not responding to field calls, assist with repairs and maintenance projects in the main shop.
- Identify and coordinate parts and repair needs with the shop supervisor or parts department.
- Maintain and safely operate company service vehicle, tools, and equipment.
- Be willing and able to work occasional overtime, stand-by, and unannounced call-out situations as needed to support customer needs.
- 3 years of experience in equipment service and repair.
- Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and mechanical systems (preferred).
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
- Valid driver’s license with a clean MVR (required).
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently in the field.
- Exposure to noise, trip hazards, fall hazards, and chemicals (battery acid, grease, de-greasers, etc.).
- Work performed in outdoor environments including hot, cold, and humid conditions.
- Working on, around, and underneath large equipment requiring squatting, kneeling, crawling, standing, etc. for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift parts, tools, and equipment weighing up to 100 lbs occasionally.
