Perform nursing assessments, medication reconciliation, patient education, clinical coordination, medication administration, point-of-care testing, and preparation and assistance with examinations and procedures.

Allergy & Immunotherapy: Cross-train with our Allergy nursing team and develop specialized competency in allergen immunotherapy. Assess patients prior to treatment, administer prescribed immunotherapy, monitor for reactions, and recognize and respond to anaphylaxis and other medical emergencies. Perform medication calculations and dilutions and support safe immunotherapy preparation and administration in accordance with established protocols.

Patient Education & Relationships: Build relationships with patients managing chronic and complex conditions and provide individualized education that helps patients understand their medications, treatment plans, procedures, and strategies for managing their health at home.

Nursing Assessment & Care Coordination: Use RN assessment and critical-thinking skills to address patient needs through in-person and telephone encounters, collaborate with providers on changes in condition, coordinate follow-up care, and connect patients with appropriate resources.

Teamwork & Clinical Practice: Work alongside RNs, medical assistants, physicians, APPs, and clinic leadership in a highly collaborative specialty practice. Serve as a clinical resource, contribute to safe and efficient patient flow, and provide coverage across Pulmonary and Allergy based on patient and clinic needs.
