DRIVER (NONE EMERGENCY MEDICAL TRANSPORTATION)

Duties

• Safely operate a range of vehicles such as shuttle buses, paratransit vans, limousines, and other commercial vehicles to transport clients to scheduled appointments and community events
• Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, providing courteous and respectful customer service throughout each trip
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety standards are met; report any issues promptly
• Navigate routes efficiently using GPS or maps, adhering to traffic laws and company policies to ensure timely arrivals
• Communicate clearly with dispatchers, clients, and team members to coordinate schedules and address any concerns during transit
• Handle heavy lifting when assisting passengers with mobility devices or luggage while maintaining safety protocols
• Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage logs, and vehicle inspections in compliance with company policies and legal requirements

Qualifications

• Proven experience in shuttle driving, delivery driving, bus driving, or limousine service; prior experience in paratransit or school bus driving is highly desirable
• Valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle type (e.g., Commercial Driver’s License or CDL preferred) with a clean driving record
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with passengers and team members
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when assisting passengers or handling equipment
• Knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and vehicle maintenance procedures
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
• Ability to remain alert during long shifts and handle multiple tasks efficiently
