Combine Cycle Plant Operator

JOB DESCRIPTION

Insight Global is seeking an experienced Combined Cycle Plant Operator to support one of our large energy companies in Arden, NC. This is a hands-on, field-based role focused on plant rounds, preventive maintenance, and light mechanical/electrical work - not control room operations.

This position is covering team members on leave, so we need someone who can step in quickly with minimal training and contribute right away.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine plant rounds to inspect equipment and monitor conditions
• Check gauges, readings, and system performance across the facility
• Complete preventative maintenance tasks on plant equipment
• Troubleshoot and assist with minor mechanical and electrical work orders
• Support maintenance activities on turbines, pumps, valves, and balance-of-plant equipment
• Document work, inspections, and issues in maintenance systems

Schedule:

• 12-hour rotating shift schedule (days nights)
• Typical rotation averages 3-4 working days per week over a 4-week cycle
• Week A: Mon-Thurs (days)
• Week B: Thurs-Sun (nights
• Week C: Fri-Sun (days)
• Week D: Mon-Wed (nights)

Must Haves:

• 3 years of combine cycle plant operations experience
• Experience with preventative maintenance, mechanical and/or electrical troubleshooting, and working in an industrial or power generation environment
• Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts

Plusses:

• Experience with gas turbines, steam turbines, or HRSG systems
• Familiarity with water treatment systems, cooling towers, or plant utilities
• Experience with Maximo, Passport, or similar maintenance systems
• High voltage or substation exposure
