OVERVIEW:
Research labs rely on lab technicians who provide glass washing and autoclaving services/support so that they have clean/sanitized glassware to use for their experiments and lab waste is disposed of properly.
THE ROLE:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Monitor and participate in activities related to washing/autoclaving laboratory glassware and autoclaving waste, disposing waste as appropriate. Coordinate with multiple labs to ensure that glassware is picked up, cleaned, and returned in a timely fashion. Operate machinery, perform routine checks to make sure equipment is functioning properly. Train assigned personnel in safe operation of equipment. Performs other related duties as needed. Maintain assigned work areas in clean and orderly condition. Respond to email and other job-related communications timely and professionally. Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
