Role Description
This is a full-time role for a Dealership Controller located in Suffolk, VA. The Dealership Controller will oversee all dealership accounting and financial functions, including the preparation of financial statements, managing accounting staff, and monitoring dealership operations. Responsibilities include cost control, cash flow, and compliance with relevant financial regulations. The position also involves creating and maintaining systems for data accuracy and timely reconciliation of accounts, as well as supporting management in strategic financial decision-making.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in dealership financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and preparation of financial statements
- Experience with accounting functions such as payroll, accounts payable and receivable, and account reconciliation
- Proficiency with dealership management software and accounting systems - DealerTrack preferred

- Analytical skills to identify cost control opportunities and ensure compliance with financial policies
- Effective leadership and team management skills, with experience in guiding and supporting accounting staff and a positive attitude

- Excellent organizational and communication abilities
- 5 prior years experience as a automotive dealership controller - GM preferred
