Position Title – Paver/Barrier Wall Operator
Location: (Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Description
Reporting to the Foreman, Paver Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the concrete paver and curb/barrier machine.
Responsibilities:
- Operate the paver and other heavy equipment in a safe manner
- Maintain and clean the machine every day
- Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment
- Operate the Paver controls the screed auger, control the hopper, and navigate the direction of the paver
- Line paver appropriately to the work area, and ensure proper application of the concrete to the desired height, width, and depth
- Train new employees in the safe and efficient operation of the Paver.
- Operate other heavy equipment and other construction related duties as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Valid Driver's License
- Knowledge of road construction materials and processes
Requirements:
- Stoop, kneel, and crouch
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
- See and hear well (either naturally or with correction)
- Ability to travel out of town
- Overtime
- Work performed in an outdoor elements, includes heat and humidity, exposure to dust and concrete.
