What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bridge Painter position at Duit Construction?
A Commercial/Industrial Painting Technician will be responsible for the application of various types of paint and coatings to concrete surfaces, operate various equipment, learn and gain knowledge in trade techniques, be on-time and follow directions from supervisors and other skilled tradesmen.
Responsibilities:
- Ability to operate power washer
- Removal and replacement of old caulking materials
- Painting using roller and airless spray equipment
- Frequently lifting, carrying, and holding tools, and supplies.
- Cleaning tools, equipment, materials, and the construction work area.
- Work well with a team as well as independently
- Listen and be receptive to training
- Willing to travel some for jobs in Oklahoma when needed.
- Willing to work some nights and weekends when needed.
- Willing to work at heights above multiple stories
- Work harmoniously, cooperatively, and courteously with others at all times.
- Follow specific directions and instructions from supervisors.
- Perform a variety of tasks and duties that may change often as the work conditions require.
- Work within defined standards of accuracy.
- Work in a variety of weather conditions, including temperatures over 85 degrees and below 40 degrees.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Ability to use arms and hand to reach for, handle, and manipulate objects.
- Frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds unassisted.
- See and hear well (naturally or with correction.)
