Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Paralegal/Case Manager to join our dynamic legal team. In this role, you will play a vital part in managing a diverse portfolio of legal cases across multiple practice areas, including estate planning, real estate, family law, workers' compensation law, and personal injury law. Your expertise will support attorneys through comprehensive legal research, document management, and case coordination. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough legal research using Westlaw and other legal research tools to support case development across various practice areas.
- Assist with legal drafting and proofreading of documents such as contracts, pleadings, discovery requests, and correspondence to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable laws.
- Manage case files efficiently using document management systems like Clio; organize and maintain electronic and physical files for easy retrieval.
- Perform detailed document review and data entry to support litigation, transactional work, or regulatory compliance efforts.
- Support attorneys with project management tasks including scheduling, deadline tracking, and coordinating meetings or interviews with clients and witnesses.
- Prepare reports, summaries, and transcriptions to facilitate case analysis and client communication.
- Provide administrative support such as filing legal documents with courts or agencies, managing phone inquiries professionally, and maintaining organized office records.
- Conduct client interviews under attorney supervision to gather pertinent case information across diverse legal fields
- Experience
- Proven paralegal experience with a strong background in legal research, document review, and case management across multiple practice areas.
- Familiarity with estate planning, real estate, family law, securities law, workers' compensation law & personal injury law is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in legal software such as Clio, Westlaw, LexisNexis,and other document management systems.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence; proofreading for accuracy is essential.
- Effective interviewing skills combined with professional phone etiquette to interact confidently with clients and stakeholders.
- Experience supporting litigation processes including document management systems use and legal research techniques.
Demonstrated ability to handle administrative tasks such as data entry, filing in court systems or regulatory agencies, transcription work, and general clerical duties efficiently.
Pay: From $35,000.00 per year
