At DuHadaway Tool & Die Shop, Inc. in Newark, Delaware, you’ll help return industrial turbine components to service with the care and accuracy they deserve. As a full-time Industrial Turbine Component Overhaul Technician, you’ll work in a clean, climate-controlled facility alongside a tight-knit team that values quality, safety, and craftsmanship.

A day in this role

Your shift starts with clear work instructions and parts travelers. You’ll move components safely with overhead cranes, then:

  • Methodically disassemble industrial turbine parts, documenting condition and wear.
  • Clean components using ultrasonic cleaning, rinsing, and sandblasting to exact standards.
  • Inspect features with precision tools: micrometers, dial calipers, height gages, and thread gages.
  • Record inspection data accurately and communicate any nonconformances to supervisors or quality.
  • Reassemble repaired parts, verifying fit, function, and quality before release.
  • Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering to meet schedules without compromising standards.
  • Maintain a safe, organized workstation and follow all safety procedures.
Location, schedule, and pay
  • Location: Newark, Delaware
  • Schedule: Full-Time
  • Available Shifts:
    • 1st Shift: 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
    • 2nd Shift: 3:30 p.m. – 12:00 a.m. (10% shift differential)
  • Pay: $22.00–$24.00 per hour, based on experience
  • 2nd Shift Differential: Additional 10%
What you bring
  • 2–3 years in automotive repair, mechanical assembly, industrial maintenance, manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
  • Hands-on mechanical aptitude—able to disassemble, troubleshoot, inspect, and reassemble precisely.
  • Comfort with hand, power, and pneumatic tools and safe crane operation.
  • Proficiency using micrometers, calipers, height gages, and thread gages.
  • Strong attention to detail, basic math skills, and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Clear communication; works well independently and with a team.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid driver’s license.
Physical aspects of the job
  • Successfully pass a pre-employment physical, lift assessment, and drug screening.
  • Lift materials safely and perform physical tasks throughout the day.
  • Stand, walk, bend, reach, kneel, and perform repetitive motions as needed.
  • Work safely around industrial equipment, overhead cranes, and manufacturing machinery.
Compensation and benefits
  • $22.00–$24.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications
  • Additional 10% shift differential for 2nd Shift
