We’re looking to add a Member Relations Representative to our staff at our Major Drive Branch, someone who’s as comfortable balancing a cash drawer as they are having a conversation with a member about their next big goal.
What you’ll be doing:
This is more than just a member relations representative role. It’s a chance to build trust with our members while helping with everything from deposits and withdrawals to opening new accounts and solving everyday problems. Some days will be fast paced, others more routine but every day, you’ll make a difference.
Your day might include:
- Greeting every member with warmth and professionalism.
- Performing everyday transactions like check cashing, loan payments, and cash advances.
- Sell cashier checks, money orders and miscellaneous items; Redeems savings bonds.
- Helping members with debit card issues, check orders, and account updates.
- Open and perform maintenance of all types of member accounts and services
- Open, close and maintain safe deposit boxes
- Process members check orders and stop payment requests
- Quote all applicable rates, fees and member account information
- Approve checks up to assigned limit
- Talk to members about services that could help them, even before they ask
- Supporting other departments and cross-training to grow your skills (this is a requirement)
- Maintaining confidentiality and following policies with care
What we’re looking for:
- Previous teller and member services experience is required
- A high school diploma (or equivalent)
- A heart for service and team first attitude
- Strong communication skills: you know how to listen and connect
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Someone who can stay upbeat and focus in a busy, people facing environment
