RTH Mechanical is seeking a dependable and safety-conscious Truck Driver to join our team. The Truck Driver is responsible for transporting materials, tools, and supplies from our Dover warehouse to various job sites throughout the region. This position plays a vital role in ensuring projects receive the materials they need on time and in excellent condition.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a company truck to deliver materials, tools, and equipment to and from job sites and the warehouse.
- Load and unload materials, ensuring items are properly secured and protected during transport.
- Verify delivery documentation for accuracy, including packing slips, delivery tickets, and return materials.
- Maintain communication with warehouse staff, project managers, and foremen to coordinate delivery schedules and site access.
- Perform daily pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any maintenance or safety concerns to management.
- Follow all DOT, OSHA, and company safety procedures.
- Assist in the warehouse when not driving, including organizing materials, maintaining inventory, and preparing deliveries.
- Always represent RTH Mechanical in a professional manner when interacting with clients, vendors, and field personnel.
- Champion and uphold corporate safety standards across all assigned job sites
- Execute routine safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and internal safety protocols
- Proactively identify, communicate, and mitigate safety risks; implement corrective actions in real time
- Verify field personnel are trained, equipped, and consistently utilizing required personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Partner with the Safety Department to roll out safety initiatives, monitor compliance metrics, and support incident investigations
- Demonstrate leadership by modeling and reinforcing a zero-compromise, safety-first culture at all levels of field operations
- Valid driver’s license (CDL not required).
- Clean driving record with a proven history of safe operation.
- Previous experience driving a truck or making deliveries preferred.
- Ability to lift and move materials up to 75 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with the New Hampshire area and surrounding regions is a plus.
