General Laborer — Soil Erosion Control (Solar Farm)
Performs manual labor tasks supporting erosion and sediment control installation at the solar farm site, under supervision.
Reports to: Superintendent / Foreman
Employment type: Full-time, entry-level; on-the-job training provided
Key Responsibilities
- Install silt fence, fiber rolls, inlet protection, and check dams
- Load and unload materials and equipment
- Perform site cleanup and debris removal
- Assist with seeding, mulching, and slope stabilization activities
- Operate hand tools (shovels, rakes, staple guns, etc.); may operate small equipment with training
- Follow all safety protocols and attend daily toolbox talks
- Assist skilled crew members and equipment operators as directed
Qualifications
- No prior experience required
- Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Able to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Reliable transportation; valid driver's license a plus
Physical Requirements
- Able to lift 50 lbs repeatedly
- Able to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods
- Able to work in heat, cold, and rain with ongoing outdoor exposure
Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
