Duties
- Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately execute fence installation projects.
- Prepare job sites by handling construction materials, setting up equipment, and ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Measure and mark fencing layouts according to specifications, ensuring precise alignment and positioning.
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other construction machinery to cut, assemble, and install fencing materials such as wood, vinyl, chain link, or metal panels.
- Perform heavy lifting of building materials and fencing components while adhering to safety guidelines.
- Complete fencing projects efficiently by managing assembly tasks such as post setting, concrete forming and finishing, masonry work, and landscape maintenance as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following all safety protocols related to construction site operations and power tool usage.
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients to ensure project specifications are met and customer satisfaction is achieved.
Skills
- Strong background in carpentry, frame carpentry, masonry, or related construction disciplines.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and interpreting technical drawings for accurate fence installation.
- Skilled in using hand tools (hammers, saws), power tools (drills, saws), welding equipment, and other construction machinery safely and effectively.
- Experience with fence construction projects including post setting, panel installation, concrete forming/finishing, and landscape integration.
- Ability to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions with physical stamina for heavy lifting and manual labor tasks.
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to construction sites, power tool operation, heavy lifting techniques, and construction material handling.
- Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with clients during project execution.
- Familiarity with interpreting technical plans for concrete forming or hardscape features is a plus.
- Prior experience in construction site management or outdoor maintenance projects enhances your suitability for this role.
