What are the responsibilities and job description for the Route Driver for Waste Services position at Duffy's Waste?
Duffy's Waste & Recycling is a privately-owned, growing company providing waste and recycling collection services for commercial and residential customers in Northern Vermont. Duffy's is currently seeking applications from qualified Residential and Commercial Route Drivers to join our team. Duffy's Route Drivers operate refuse collection trucks to provide prompt, courteous, and superior customer service to our residential and commercial customers throughout Northern Vermont.
Qualified candidates will have a strong work ethic, valid Drivers License and a safe driving record. Previous experience driving refuse trucks preferred, but not required. Familiarity with the areas we operate in is a plus.
This position will require strenuous work in all weather extremes and may require work on Saturdays and/or holidays. Work hours will vary by route. Start time is 4:30 AM
Requirements:
High school diploma/GED or equivalent work experience,
1 years of related waste or transportation industry experience desired
Ability to lift 50-75 pounds continuously throughout the day
Valid drivers license
Clear driving record
Over 21 years of age
