Position Summary
An A&R at Duetti plays a key role in helping artists access new, transparent financing options for their catalog. This role will engage directly with artists and their teams, explain how Duetti's flexible buyout solutions work, and partner with Sourcing, Underwriting, Legal, and Management to close deals. Sitting within the Sourcing team, this role will work alongside Sourcing Managers and a Segment Lead — operating at the intersection of music, operations, and data analytics to grow Duetti’s deal pipeline and advance their mission of democratizing catalog monetization.
This role is a remote position based in New York or Los Angeles and reports to an A&R segment lead.
Specific Responsibilities
- Identify and engage emerging artists suited to Duetti's financial solutions, developing a deep understanding of their offering relative to other financing options in the market
- Partner with the Segment Lead and Sourcing Managers across the full sales cycle — prospecting, negotiating, onboarding, and closing
- Nurture relationships with artists, managers, and other industry stakeholders
- Represent Duetti at industry events, showcases, and conferences to expand their artist network
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth deal execution
- Stay current on industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies in music fintech
Qualifications
- 2 or more years of experience in a client-facing B2B sales role
- Genuine passion for the music industry, with the ability to quickly interpret deal structures and develop creative solutions
- Highly organized, with the ability to manage a large volume of deals and opportunities simultaneously
- A self-starter mentality with strong attention to detail and a positive, can-do attitude
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience working across internal and external teams
- Comfortable working autonomously in a fast-moving, early-stage startup environment
- Bachelor's degree in music, media, or a related field
- Experience with HubSpot is a plus
Compensation
Competitive salary, incentive and benefits will be offered, commensurate with the role and the final hire’s experience. Depending on the job relevant knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, network and location of the final hire, the base salary is anticipated at an annual rate in the range of $80K-$90k plus incentives.
