Duerr Packaging Co. Inc, is a manufacturer of rigid paperboard boxes and thermoformed plastics. We are an independent, family operated business with many of our employees participating in long tenure. Founded in 1953, the company is well established in the industry, servicing customers in all states along with several foreign countries. The company operates two manufacturing plants featuring modern machinery -- one plant converting paperboard, the other plastics.
The Role: Production Machine Tender
As a production machine tender at Duerr Packaging, you will be responsible for the setup and operation of paper box machinery.
Responsibilities:
- Tend/Operate production machines
- Setup/change over production machines for each new job
- Gather/Stack finished product and pack in corrugated carton
Requirements and Desired Experience:
- Self starter with a drive to learn and develop required
- Good, reliable attendance required
- Team player that works exceptionally well with others
- Basic math skills required (Reading a Ruler and Reading Fractions)
- Must be capable of lifting 40 lbs and stacking finished cartons on pallet
- Previous production work experience preferred. Any experience with printing or binder work (feeding paper) a plus
