Duties
- Conduct thorough mental health assessments utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards to develop personalized treatment plans.
- Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions using modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and behavioral health techniques.
- Utilize motivational interviewing and crisis management skills to engage clients effectively and de-escalate urgent situations.
- Deliver specialized services including PTSD care, grief counseling, addiction counseling, child & youth therapy, and behavior management for individuals with developmental disabilities or autism.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations, clinical ethical guidelines, and medical records standards within EMR/EHR systems.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on case management, treatment planning, and research initiatives to optimize patient care outcomes.
- Facilitate telehealth therapy sessions ensuring seamless patient communication while adhering to clinical documentation standards.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling or related field; licensure or certification as required by state law (e.g., LCSW, LPC).
- Proven experience working with children, adolescents, veterans, or individuals with co-occurring disorders in outpatient or inpatient settings.
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based practices including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), applied behavior analysis (ABA), psychopharmacology basics, and trauma-focused interventions.
- Familiarity with ICD coding systems (ICD-9/10) for diagnostic evaluation and medical terminology essential for accurate documentation.
- Experience delivering telehealth services using secure platforms while maintaining clinical integrity and confidentiality.
- Ability to manage crisis situations effectively through crisis intervention techniques and social work principles.
- Excellent communication skills for client engagement, treatment planning, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, clinical ethical guidelines, and medical documentation standards necessary for compliance.
