This position is responsible for working as a team member under direct supervision of a Crew Leader or Foreman. The work varies each day, but can include: vegetation management, weed removal, installing and maintaining plants, and installing and repairing irrigation systems.    Duties and Responsibilities Work closely with supervisor in installation of construction and landscape construction projectsOperate a variety of hand and power toolsMaintain and care for company equipment, tools and vehiclesPerform highly physical installation work on a consistent basisMaintain a clean and safe job siteWork as part of a team and take directionFollow all safety procedures on project siteAlways represent the company’s best interest, maintain the highest level of integrityKeep accurate timesheet records, submitted for review and signoff by the required deadlinesComplete project daily reports if neededPerform other tasks or projects as assigned/instructed by supervisorMinimum QualificationsHigh School Diploma or Equivalent1 to 3 years’ experience in landscape industryValid driver’s license with a clean DMV recordAbility to travel out of town/overnightHighly motivated, self-driven, detail orientedGreat time management skills; available for seasonal long hours and weekendsPunctual and dependableAbility to work effectively with individuals of differing backgrounds, knowledge and skill levelsMust possess a valid driver’s license and have active personal automobile liability insurance by first day of employment.Preferred QualificationsHands-on experience with irrigation system installation, maintenance, and troubleshootingDirect experience in habitat restoration, including planting, invasive species removal, and ecosystem managementExperience in the safe handling and application of pesticides, including compliance with local and federal regulationsComfort working in outdoor, variable conditions and performing physically demanding tasksProven ability to work effectively in field teams and coordinate with multiple stakeholdersCompensation: $20-$23 hourly**Final agreed-upon compensation will be based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s related experience, education, certifications, skills, and work location. Successful candidates must pass a pre-employment drug test and background check prior to beginning employment.Working ConditionsEnvironmentThis job requires project site visits, based outdoors which can include excessive noise, uneven walking surfaces, extreme weather, and moving vehicles and equipment.Physical RequirementsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. This job requires the following:Working on a computer, sitting, or standing for long periods of time in an office, field, or remote office setting.Employees must be capable of bending, squatting, climbing ladders, and lifting up to 35 lbs. unassisted; 50lbs in a team lift (two or more employees).This job requires attending meetings, both in person and virtually as well as speaking on the phone with government agency representatives, members of the public, and others.
