Summary of the Job:
To ensure product quality throughout the packing and shipping operations throughout the facility. Responsible for ensuring the quality of our pears. Their day-to-day work involves careful inspections and the enforcement of quality standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
· Gathering crop data from field representatives
· Communication with sales team on product quality
· Preparing reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data
· Being aware of inventory and location of inventory
· Implementing methods to inspect, test and evaluate products
· Ensuring that products adhere to quality standards
· Performing and overseeing detailed and recorded inspections of products in process and final products so the products are up to industry and company standards prior to shipment
· Documenting and reporting product quality levels
· Developing and implementing standards for inspection
· Developing a workflow for product inspection from receiving to shipping
· Communicating with other team members to solve problems
· Following up with the appropriate channels when mistakes are found
· Training and overseeing other quality assurance members on all inspection processes
· Other duties may be assigned
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
· Minimum High School Degree or equivalent
· Minimum 1 year of experience in quality assurance (highly preferred)
· A keen eye for detail
· Communication skills
· Computer literacy
· Database management
· The ability to closely follow quality standards
· Decision-making skills
· Excellent English oral and written communication skills; bi-lingual English/Spanish highly preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.30 - $28.40 per hour
Education:
