Duck Camp is seeking a Retail Channel Manager who will be responsible for overseeing and driving the performance and operations of our Duck Camp retail locations. In this role, you will lead Store Managers and optimize retail operations to ensure we deliver an exceptional customer experience at our Austin and Houston store locations. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, retail expertise, and a data-driven mindset to support revenue growth and brand excellence.
Job Responsibilities
- Develops and executes Duck Camp’s retail strategy to achieve sales and profitability goals
- Oversees the operations of all Duck Camp retail stores, ensuring consistency in service, performance and brand identity
- Develops and implements plans to increase sales performance, improve customer satisfaction, and enhance overall store efficiency
- Responsible for developing processes and standard operating procedures (SOPs), assessing current workflows and implementing improvements to standardize our retail operations
- Leads, mentors and develops Store Managers and staff toward optimal performance
- Analyzes sales reports, customer trends, and market data to inform business decisions and identify growth opportunities
- Collaborates with Marketing & EComm teams to develop promotional campaigns and in store experiences
- Works with Store Managers to execute visually compelling in-store displays, window installations, and product arrangements in line with seasonal campaigns and brand guidelines
- Conducts regular store visits to assess operational performance and customer service standards
- Monitors and manages store inventory levels, shrinkage, and loss prevention programs
- Partners with Marketing and Store Leaders to host brand-relevant events that drive customer engagement and brand awareness
Desired Skills & Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in retail store management; experience running multiple locations a plus
- Strong business acumen with an understanding of the challenges and opportunities of retail and the outdoor industry
- Dynamic leadership and management skills
- Proven track record of meeting sales goals, managing budgets, and driving operational excellence
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Proactive and self-motivated with a focus on continuous improvement
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field (preferred)
- Flexibility to travel between retail locations as needed
- A passion and understanding for our core customer. Ideally an active participant in the hunt/fish/outdoor pursuits
