Job Summary
Ducali Pizzeria & Bar is seeking a dependable and hardworking Pizza Kitchen Steward to support daily kitchen operations, maintain cleanliness, and assist the pizza preparation team. The ideal candidate will help keep kitchen areas organized, sanitized, and properly stocked while supporting efficient food preparation and service.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen work areas.
- Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment.
- Assist pizza makers and kitchen staff with routine preparation tasks.
- Prepare and organize basic ingredients and kitchen supplies.
- Restock cheese, toppings, sauces, packaging, and other supplies as needed.
- Assist with receiving and properly storing food and kitchen deliveries.
- Follow proper food storage and ingredient rotation procedures.
- Remove waste and maintain appropriate disposal areas.
- Clean counters, floors, sinks, preparation surfaces, and equipment.
- Assist with pizza assembly and basic food preparation when needed.
- Support kitchen staff during busy service periods.
- Monitor supplies and report shortages to management.
- Assist with opening, closing, and deep-cleaning duties.
- Maintain safe and uncluttered kitchen work areas.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant, kitchen, dishwashing, or food-service experience preferred.
- Basic understanding of kitchen sanitation and food safety practices.
- Strong attention to cleanliness and organization.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
