What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registered Nurse (RN) position at Dubuque Obstetrics & Gynecology?
Are you passionate about Women's Health? Dubuque Obstetrics and Gynecology, P.C. is looking for a registered nurse to join our nurse triage team. Primary role is triaging patient phone calls, NSTs, injections, obstetric interviews, medication prior authorizations, and other duties as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide general medical care and select patient care tasks; working collaboratively with physicians, medical assistants, and other multidisciplinary team members.
- Provide telephonic support to patients.
- Triages patient phone calls for both gynecologic and obstetric patients.
- Complete new obstetrical interviews, assist with staple removal, NSTs, and in office injections.
- Make follow up calls as requested by the provider.
- Assist with prior authorizations for medications.
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Current Iowa RN license.
- Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers Certification (BLS).
- Computer literacy: able to perform basic functions on a computer, including Electronic Medical Record and Microsoft Office applications.
- English language literacy: able to effectively communicate orally and in writing.
