Job Summary:
Shipping is the final step before the product leaves our facility. It is highly important that each shipment is properly packaged and labeled to ensure it arrives safely at the correct destination. This position weighs, applies postage and prepares each package for shipment. Our Shipping Clerks are accountable to ensure that each package ships accurately and timely to avoid missing deliveries or lost items.
Responsibilities:
- Ensures all shipments receive the proper labeling and postal charges
- Accurately applies the correct shipping method and verifies all the necessary information is correct
- Make sure the product is packaged properly to ensure the package arrives safely at the intended destination
- Communicates respectfully and effectively through email, phone calls or in person to find answers and resolutions
- Troubleshoots issues and resolves the satisfaction of the customer as well as Dubow’s standards and profitability
- Make suggestions to leaders and managers for process improvements in the department
- Communicates with the department leads and managers to ensure daily KPI’s are being met
- Communicates roadblocks and inefficiencies and escalates as needed to appropriate lead or manager
- Other duties as assigned by lead or manager
