Position: Medical Assistant
We are seeking a Medical Assistant to join our clinical team. The ideal candidate will be detail‑oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment. Strong communication skills and a commitment to patient care are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure and weight
- Perform EKGs and assist with other diagnostic procedures
- Demonstrate working knowledge of medications commonly used in cardiology
- Prepare patient charts for upcoming appointments
- Update and maintain accurate patient health records
- Schedule patients for office visits and cardiac testing
- Utilize Medent EMR for documentation, scheduling, and workflow management
- Provide excellent patient service and support throughout the visit
- Maintain organization in a busy clinical setting and manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Travel to outlying clinics as needed
Requirements
- Medical Assistant (MA) credential preferred, but will train
- Strong computer skills; experience with Medent preferred
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively with providers and staff
- Reliable, professional, and patient‑centered
- This position does not offer remote work
