What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staff Structural Engineer position at DUBOIS & KING INC?
DuBois & King, Inc is seeking a Staff Structural Engineer with 0 - 5 years of experience. This is a full time engineering position in our busy and growing Structural Engineering Group. Our markets include commercial, industrial, institutional, healthcare, recreational, and government projects throughout New England.
Responsibilities
Preparing calculations under the supervision of an experienced engineer using current material and building codes and relevant design standards.
Proficiency with design software such as Ram, Enercalc, and RetainPro, among others.
Ability to work in Revit to assist with the preparation of drawings and sketches including completion of redlines.
Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
Conducting field work to survey existing conditions or review project conformance with plans.
Flexibility with schedule to accommodate project requirements as necessary.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in civil or structural engineering
AutoCAD and Revit proficiency required and comfortable with engineering design software.
EIT in VT or NH or ability to obtain within 6-12 months is preferred
Strong technical skills combined with clear, concise written and verbal communication skills are important
