Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dietary Aide to support our dietary department in providing nutritious and appealing meals to residents. The ideal candidate will have experience in food service, food preparation, and customer service within assisted living, nursing home, or hospital settings. Duties
- Assist with meal preparation and food production in accordance with dietary guidelines and safety standards.
- Serve meals to residents with professionalism, ensuring proper portioning and presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and dining areas through regular cleaning, sanitizing, and bussing duties.
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and prevent contamination.
- Support the dietary team by assisting with inventory management, food storage, and stock rotation.
- Help with meal setup, serving, and cleanup to ensure a smooth dining experience for residents.
- Adhere to all health regulations related to food safety, sanitation, and kitchen operations.
- Demonstrate excellent customer service skills by addressing residents’ needs courteously and efficiently.
Experience
- Previous experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or the food industry is highly desirable.
- Experience in food handling, food preparation, or culinary roles is preferred.
- Familiarity with dietary department procedures and meal service standards is advantageous.
- Strong time management skills to efficiently coordinate meal times and kitchen tasks.
- Knowledge of sanitation practices, food safety regulations, and kitchen cleanliness standards.
- Prior dietary aide or food service experience that demonstrates reliability and attention to detail is a plus.
