Position Summary:
The Underground Sales Representative is responsible for identifying, estimating, and closing sales opportunities related to underground plumbing and sewer line repair or replacement projects. This role involves conducting on-site inspections, educating customers on their options, preparing accurate job proposals, and coordinating with technicians and crews to ensure seamless project execution.
The ideal candidate is knowledgeable in underground utility systems, has strong communication and sales skills, and is capable of building trust with homeowners and property managers through transparency and expertise.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct on-site evaluations of sewer and underground plumbing systems using video inspection equipment and other diagnostic tools.

Accurately identify issues such as broken, offset, or collapsed lines, root intrusion, and other underground pipe failures.

Develop and present detailed repair or replacement options to customers, including trenchless and excavation-based solutions.

Prepare written estimates and proposals, ensuring all necessary permits, materials, and labor costs are accounted for.

Clearly communicate the scope of work, timelines, and expectations to customers and internal teams.

Follow up with customers to close sales, answer questions, and maintain strong customer relationships.

Collaborate with field technicians and project managers to ensure sold jobs are completed according to specifications and customer satisfaction.

Stay up to date on industry standards, new technologies, and company products or services.

Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets as set by management.
Qualifications:

Proven experience in plumbing, underground utilities, or related sales (preferred 2 years).

Working knowledge of sewer systems, trenchless repair methods, and underground construction practices.

Strong customer service and communication skills with the ability to explain technical details in simple terms.

Ability to prepare accurate job estimates and proposals.

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
