Requirements / Qualifications
Under general supervision assists the teacher in the instruction and care of students with moderate to severe disabilities, including management of student behavior, toileting needs, record keeping, instructional assistance, medical care, classroom organization, and interaction and communication with students, support staff, parents/guardians, and agencies.
Possession of a valid and appropriate California Driver’s license, a current American Red Cross First Aid & CPR Certificate or equivalent, Non-violent Crisis Prevention and Intervention Training, Applied Behavioral Analysis Training, Blood Borne Pathogens Training and knowledge of care of: catheters, feeding tubes, tracheotomies and colostomies and hickman vp shunts. Candidate must have an AA or 2 years of college (48 units) to be considered for interview.
