Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Shop Setup Technician-Operator to join our dynamic machine shop team. If you have a strong background in sheet metal fabrication and expertise in operating and setting up machines such as punch presses, brake presses, shears, and saws, we want to hear from you! This role requires proficiency in reading blueprints and fabricating high-quality sheet metal components. (NON-WELDING).
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate punch presses, brake presses, shears, and saws.
- Read and interpret automated and manual blueprints for precise fabrication.
- Perform regular machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Work efficiently to meet production goals while ensuring safety and quality.
- Identifying and resolving machine malfunctions, including diagnosing programming errors.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in sheet metal fabrication or machine shop operations.
- Strong machine setup and operation skills.
- Proficient in reading blueprints and technical drawings.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Follow and adjust production planning schedules and make recommendations to Leads and Managers.
