- Monday-Thursday: 8:15 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
- Friday: 8:15 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Dual Immersion Academy is seeking a passionate, energetic, and student-centered Bilingual Teaching Assistant to support our elementary classrooms. This position works under the direction of the classroom teacher to provide targeted academic support that helps all students succeed.

Position Summary
The Teaching Assistant partners closely with the classroom teacher to deliver high-quality instruction and interventions. This position plays a vital role in supporting student learning through small group instruction, guided practice, and targeted interventions within our Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS), including Tier I, Tier II, and Tier III instruction.
Essential Responsibilities
- Support classroom instruction under the direction of the classroom teacher.
- Lead small-group instruction in reading, language arts, and mathematics.
- Provide guided practice and academic interventions for students needing additional support.
- Assist with Tier I, Tier II, and Tier III instructional supports.
- Reinforce classroom lessons and learning objectives.
- Monitor student progress and communicate observations with the classroom teacher.
- Help prepare instructional materials and learning activities.
- Foster a positive, engaging, and supportive learning environment.
- Supervise students during classroom activities and transitions as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when working with students and families.
Qualifications
- Fluent in both Spanish and English (speaking, reading, and writing).
- Experience working with elementary-aged students preferred.
- Strong foundational skills in elementary mathematics and English Language Arts.
- Ability to work effectively with small groups of students.
- Patient, organized, dependable, and collaborative.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow teacher direction while working independently with students.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or college coursework in education preferred.

Compensation
