Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Landscape Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, enjoy working outdoors, and possess a passion for creating and maintaining high-quality outdoor spaces. This position involves a variety of services including landscape maintenance, landscape installation, hardscape construction, drainage solutions, outdoor lighting systems, and general property improvements.
Responsibilities:
- Perform lawn care and landscape maintenance services including mowing, edging, mulching, pruning, aeration, and general property upkeep.
- Utilize power tools and equipment safely and effectively for landscape and construction-related tasks.
- Install and maintain landscape plantings including trees, shrubs, perennials, and seasonal color.
- Assist with hardscape installations including patios, walkways, retaining walls, steps, and outdoor living features.
- Install and repair drainage systems including downspout extensions, French drains, catch basins, grading improvements, and erosion control solutions.
- Assist with installation and maintenance of low-voltage outdoor lighting systems including pathway lights, accent lighting, uplighting, and transformers.
- Perform excavation, grading, soil preparation, and material installation as required for various projects.
- Maintain equipment through routine inspections, cleaning, and minor repairs.
- Work closely with team members to complete projects efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship and safety standards.
- Communicate professionally with customers when needed and represent the company in a positive manner.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Previous experience in landscaping, hardscaping, drainage installation, irrigation, construction, or a related field is preferred but not required (training will be provided).
- Familiarity with power tools, compact equipment, and general construction practices is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform physical labor and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move materials regularly throughout the workday.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Valid driver's license.
