Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced, dedicated, and detail-oriented Floor Care Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of various floor surfaces in commercial settings. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing high-quality floor care services. This is primarily a night and weekend position due to the nature of this work. Valid driver's license and clean criminal background required
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of floors, including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming.
- Execute specialized floor care tasks such as carpet cleaning, buffing, and stripping/waxing hard floors.
- Inspect floors regularly to identify areas that require additional cleaning or maintenance.
- Utilize appropriate cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and effectively.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and report any shortages to management.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures while performing duties to ensure a safe work environment.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure all areas are cleaned to the highest standards.
Skills
- Proven experience in cleaning and floor care techniques, including carpet cleaning and buffing.
- Familiarity with janitorial or custodial practices in commercial environments is preferred.
- Knowledge of environmental services and the use of various cleaning equipment.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent time management skills to efficiently complete tasks within designated timeframes.
