Job Title: Japanese Bilingual IT Support Specialist
Job Type: Multiple years Contract: Hourly $26 ~ $45
Location: Dallas, TX
About the Role
A company in Dallas, TX is seeking a skilled and proactive IT Support Specialist to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in managing IT infrastructure sites, supporting daily business and operations, and ensuring system availability, security, and performance.
This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic and growing environment, supporting a wide range of technologies including networking, security, end-user systems, and specialized applications.
Key Responsibilities Access & Account Management
- Manage user accounts, access permissions, and Active Directory.
- Oversee access to enterprise systems including vendor platforms.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations and access controls.
Infrastructure & Network Support
- Manage and maintain network hardware and software, including routers, switches, firewalls, and servers.
- Monitor and optimize system and network performance, applying patches and updates as needed.
- Research and recommend emerging technologies and tools for ongoing improvements.
End User & Application Support
- Provide support for workstations, Office 365, Teams, SharePoint, VoIP, printers, and scanners.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, escalating to third-party vendors when necessary.
- Train users and provide support materials as needed.
Security & Disaster Recovery
- Monitor and enforce security protocols including antivirus, XDR, and data encryption.
- Maintain data backups and recovery systems; test disaster recovery procedures.
- Ensure compliance with privacy regulations.
Vendor & System Coordination
- Coordinate with technology vendors for system support (e.g., EMR, VoIP, Check-In, Analytics).
- Track vendor performance and manage issue resolution.
Additional Duties
- Serve as backup for the IT help desk.
- Stay current with industry best practices through ongoing training and professional development.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or related field) with 2 years of experience, OR 5 years in system administration for organizations with 100 users.
- Industry certifications preferred (e.g., CompTIA A , Network , Security , MCSA, or Cloud).
Technical Skills:
- Strong background in Microsoft Windows/Server OS, Active Directory, Group Policy.
- Hands-on experience with network equipment.
- Proficient in LAN/WAN troubleshooting and TCP/IP protocols.
- Familiar with security and compliance best practices.
- Experience supporting Microsoft 365, VoIP systems, and virtualized environments.
- Python programming skills are preferred
Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
- Strong customer service orientation and ability to work collaboratively.
- Self-motivated with keen attention to detail.
Additional Requirements
- Japanese bilingual preferred
- Ability to travel between sites as required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist with equipment installation.
- On-call availability required some off hours.
