Position Summary
The Regional Sales Specialist is a quota-carrying, growth-focused role responsible for achieving assigned revenue targets across all DTPM business verticals. This position is designed for a self-driven sales professional who excels at new business development, aggressively expands product penetration within existing accounts, and consistently grows territory revenue.
DTPM’s business verticals include Toxicology (Drugs of Abuse screening and confirmation), Capital Equipment, Molecular (PCR), and Laboratory Consumables. The Regional Sales Specialist owns the assigned territory as a standalone business, with full accountability for pipeline development, quota attainment, profitable growth, and customer retention.
Essential Job Functions
Prospect, qualify, and close new business across all DTPM business verticals to consistently meet or exceed assigned quota. Expand share of wallet within existing accounts by identifying unmet needs and introducing additional product lines and solutions. Own and manage the full sales cycle, from initial outreach through contract execution and post-sale account growth. Apply consultative and strategic selling techniques to drive measurable revenue growth. Develop and execute territory and account plans focused on pipeline generation and long-term growth. Conduct routine business reviews to uncover expansion opportunities and reinforce customer value. Collaborate cross-functionally with Service, Technical Support, Marketing, and Customer Purchasing teams to support deal execution and customer satisfaction. Establish customer pricing within approved guidelines and deliver timely, accurate proposals and quotations. Support customers through contracting and agreement execution to ensure a timely close. Maintain accurate pipeline management, forecasting, and activity reporting within CRM. Assist with revenue forecasting and growth projections across products and services. Represent DTPM at industry trade shows and customer events to generate leads and expand market presence. Complete all required training as assigned by Human Resources or the Commercial Team.
Minimum Requirements / Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent sales or industry experience considered. Minimum of five (5) years of successful remote field sales experience, preferably in diagnostics or laboratory solutions. Demonstrated success in quota-carrying roles with a strong focus on new business development. Proven ability to negotiate, influence, and close complex sales opportunities. Ability to operate independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize revenue-generating activities. Strong discipline in CRM usage, pipeline management, and forecasting accuracy. Excellent organizational, analytical, and multi-tasking skills with strong attention to detail. Demonstrated professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and Salesforce CRM Willingness to travel approximately 50%–75% of the time.
Non-Negotiable Hiring Criteria
High school diploma required. Ability to travel without limitation. Strong verbal and written communication skills, including customer presentations and executive-level discussions. Valid driver’s license.
