Position Overview
DTI is seeking an experienced Data Analyst with strong expertise in Tableau, Alteryx, Snowflake, and advanced data analysis to support a large-scale enterprise analytics initiative.
This role will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, transforming, and visualizing data to provide actionable business insights that support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, experience working with large and complex datasets, and the ability to communicate findings effectively to both technical and business stakeholders.
The successful consultant will leverage Tableau for dashboard development and reporting, Alteryx for data preparation and workflow automation, and Snowflake for data extraction, transformation, and analysis activities.
Key Responsibilities
Data Analysis & Business Insights
- Collect, analyze, and interpret large volumes of structured and unstructured data.
- Identify trends, patterns, anomalies, and opportunities within complex datasets.
- Perform detailed data analysis to support business decision-making and operational improvements.
- Translate business requirements into analytical solutions and meaningful insights.
- Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.
Dashboard Development & Reporting
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive Tableau dashboards and reports.
- Create visualizations that effectively communicate key performance indicators and business metrics.
- Develop executive-level reporting and self-service analytics solutions.
- Enhance reporting capabilities to improve business visibility and decision support.
Data Preparation & Automation
- Utilize Alteryx to develop automated workflows for data preparation, cleansing, transformation, and enrichment.
- Streamline data acquisition and processing activities across multiple source systems.
- Improve efficiency through automation and repeatable analytics processes.
- Support data integration initiatives and workflow optimization efforts.
Snowflake Data Management & Analysis
- Extract, transform, and analyze data stored within Snowflake environments.
- Develop queries and data models to support reporting and analytics requirements.
- Collaborate with data engineering teams to optimize data accessibility and performance.
- Support enterprise data governance and best practices within Snowflake.
Data Quality & Governance
- Perform data validation, reconciliation, and quality assurance activities.
- Identify data inconsistencies and work with stakeholders to resolve issues.
- Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and compliance with organizational standards.
- Document data definitions, business rules, and analytical methodologies.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
- Work closely with business users, project teams, and leadership to understand reporting and analytics needs.
- Partner with data engineers, architects, and developers to support enterprise analytics initiatives.
- Participate in requirements gathering, solution design, testing, and deployment activities.
- Provide recommendations for process improvements and data-driven decision making.
Required Qualifications
- 6 years of experience in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Data Analysis, or related disciplines.
- Advanced experience developing Tableau dashboards, reports, and visualizations.
- Strong hands-on experience with Alteryx workflow development and data preparation.
- Experience working with Snowflake data platforms and performing complex data analysis.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including Pivot Tables, Power Query, formulas, and data analysis techniques.
- Strong SQL skills for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
- Experience analyzing large and complex datasets from multiple sources.
- Strong understanding of data quality, validation, reconciliation, and governance principles.
- Ability to translate business requirements into analytical and reporting solutions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting enterprise analytics and reporting programs.
- Exposure to cloud-based data platforms and modern data architectures.
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling.
- Experience supporting Financial Services, Utilities, Government, Healthcare, or other large enterprise environments.
- Familiarity with predictive analytics and statistical analysis techniques.
- Experience working in Agile project environments.
