Responsibilities
- Safely load, secure, and unload up to three vehicles per trip using appropriate equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts when necessary
- Drive route-specific deliveries and pickups with precision, adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations
- Communicate professionally with customers during drop-offs and pickups to ensure a positive experience
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips, reporting any maintenance issues promptly
- Assist with warehouse tasks including moving vehicles within the yard, loading inventory, and organizing storage areas
- Load and unload vehicles efficiently using manual lifting techniques or mechanical aids like forklifts or pallet jacks
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, and vehicle maintenance logs
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience with commercial driving preferred but not required
- Prior delivery driver experience or courier background is highly desirable
- Ability to operate a box truck or similar vehicle with manual transmission
- Strong customer service skills to interact professionally with clients during deliveries
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual tasks related to moving vehicles or equipment
- Experience with warehouse tools such as forklifts or pallet jacks is a plus
- Knowledge of route driving best practices and safety protocols
