Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Assistant Manager role located in the Detroit Metropolitan Area. The Assistant Manager will oversee daily store operations, support and motivate team members, ensure exemplary customer service, and achieve sales and profitability goals. Key responsibilities include leading and developing store associates, maintaining visual merchandising standards, resolving customer issues, monitoring inventory levels, and assisting in loss prevention efforts. The Assistant Manager will collaborate closely with the Store Manager to ensure smooth management and implementation of strategies that align with the company’s values and objectives.
Qualifications
- Experience in leadership and team management, with skills in coaching, motivating, and developing teams
- Proficiency in executing sales strategies, inventory management, and achieving operational goals
- Strong customer service and conflict resolution skills for creating a positive shopping experience
- Knowledge of merchandising principles, visual displays, and store organization
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
- Flexibility to work a retail schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Previous retail or supervisory experience is preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required; advanced education in business or a related field is a plus
