POSITION SUMMARY
The Quality Supervisor is a visible leadership and development role.This individualis responsible forsupporting the quality programs in the warehouse and will report to the site General Manager.This role supports local continuous improvement activities, document controls, and ISO activities.He/she will also ensure that the operation adheres to the overall corporate mission, vision, and core values while consistently meeting client and company expectations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Quality
-
Maintains compliancetointernational,industryand customer-specific quality standards.
-
Leads and individuallyperformsas needed, the analysis of product/service issues todetermineroot causes.
-
Manages and communicates change control processes to all departments.
-
Responsible for the coordination of internal and external auditing plusmaintainingthe internal quality audit system.
-
Assistsin implementation and monitoring of thecompanyquality systems including, but not limited to, compliance with the following standards: ISO 9001:2008.
-
Assistsin the establishment,implementationand evaluation of quality management system metrics.
-
Provides guidance and support for both customer service and quality departmentsassistingwith problem solving and improvement opportunities.

Manages customer driven continual improvement roadmaps.
-
Drives Continuous Improvement Programs at all levels including education of these programs
-
Develops and conducts training on the quality system and other related topics.
-
Oversees document control; updating,creatingand publishing controlled documents including sending change notifications to effected parties/departments andfollowsup on the Quality Management System.

Develops and implements administrative systems including record management, traceability, and trend reporting.
Budgeting

Identifiescost improvement initiatives, which generate positive results to the assigned operation EBIT

Develops and manages a system of controls to ensure that service levels and operational performance goals are met within prescribed cost, revenue, and profit parameters for the operation
Customer Service

Monitors KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) for assigned operation
OTHER DUTIES

Work overtime as dictated by business whether mandatory or voluntary.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Communicates all problems and questions to site leadershipand implements solutions to minimize risk.

Followall safety procedures.

Responsible for all equipment, supplies, documents, and materials related tojob.

Responsible for following all DSV policies and procedures.

Complies withall federal, state, and local regulations.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education& Experience:

Must have ahigh school diploma
-
3 years' experience working ina logistics/distribution/relevant environment
-
Prior experience in safety observations/inspections, developing and implementing compliance strategies and plans.

Knowledge of safety and health management systems and practices.

Preferred: PriorMHE certification / knowledge of basic MHE operation
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Professional Designations

Satisfactory completion of a forklift training program

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education and/or Experience

Minimum of 2 years of supervisor experience in supply chain/logistics/warehousing
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Professional Designations

Able to pass TSA Security Treat Assessment (STA)

Able to pass Transportation Security Training Requirements andrecertifyannually.

Must be able to work in unregulated temperatures within the warehouse during the warmer and colder months can range from mild to moderate.
