Summary
TheOperationManager willbe responsible foroverseeing and coordinating the day-to-day operations of the transportation andlogisticsdepartment. This role will involve working closely with other departments within the company, as well as external partners and suppliers, to ensure efficient and effective transportation andlogisticsprocesses are in place.
Duties and Responsibilities

Oversee the transportation andlogisticsdepartment's daily operations to ensure all processes run smoothly and efficiently

Coordinate with internal departments, such as sales and customer service, to ensure customer needs are met

Develop and implement transportation andlogisticsstrategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and increase profitability

Collaborate with external partners, such as carriers and suppliers, tomaintainstrong relationships and ensure reliable transportation services
-
Monitor transportation andlogisticsperformance metrics and implement corrective actions where necessary
-
Conduct regular audits of transportation andlogisticsprocesses to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations

Providetimelyandaccuratereports on transportation andlogisticsactivities to management
-
Identifyand implement continuous improvement initiatives tooptimizetransportation andlogisticsoperations
Educational background / Work experience
-
A bachelor's degree in transportation andlogistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.

A minimum of 5 years of experience in transportation andlogisticsmanagement isrequired. Experience in the freightforwardingindustry is preferred.
