GRADE LEVEL: Hiring for Middle School.

SALARY: $60,000-$78,000 based on aligned years of experience up to 10 years. We also offer a relocation stipend for anyone joining us from 75 miles or more from Denver!

The employee must have sufficient hand, arm, and finger dexterity to operate a computer keyboard and other office equipment. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Key Roles & Responsibilities
Our physical education teachers believe in wellness for the whole child and teach critical habits for physical, mental, and emotional wellness as well as sportsmanship, inclusion, and drive.
- Exhibit mastery and enthusiasm for the assigned academic subjects and classes
- Work closely and collaboratively with students, parents, and other teachers within the school and throughout the DSST network.
- Teach 3-5 classes a day of various lengths depending on the DSST campus and subject area.
- Use the network’s curriculum and standards to plan and implement targeted lessons and assessments for each student including differentiating for the needs of all learners.
- Keep an up-to-date gradebook for each class.
- Work to implement and master DSST Public Schools’ core instructional and culturally responsive and relevant teaching practices
- Additional duties as assigned such as supporting student recruitment, running a small group advisory class, after school tutoring, etc. See many of our possible duties here.
