Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks and commercial vehicles to deliver products to various locations following designated routes.
- Load and unload cargo using equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts (if certified), or manual lifting techniques, ensuring proper handling of goods.
- Provide excellent customer service by interacting professionally with clients during deliveries, answering questions, and addressing concerns with a positive attitude.
- Verify delivery details, obtain signatures when required, and complete all necessary documentation accurately.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform routine inspections to ensure safety and compliance with transportation regulations.
- Plan efficient routes to optimize delivery times while adhering to traffic laws and safety standards.
- Assist with warehouse tasks such as moving inventory, organizing shipments, or preparing goods for delivery when needed.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating box trucks or similar vehicles preferred.
- Proven delivery driver experience or courier background demonstrating reliability and punctuality.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
- Ability to lift heavy loads regularly, including boxes and pallets, using proper lifting techniques or equipment like forklifts or pallet jacks (certification preferred).
- Experience with route driving in urban or rural settings, managing multiple stops efficiently.
- Knowledge of manual transmission vehicles is a plus; familiarity with heavy lifting and moving tasks is essential.
