Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Systems and Network Engineer located in Westbury, NY. The Senior Systems and Network Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing network infrastructure and systems. Key responsibilities include configuring and maintaining servers, managing cybersecurity measures, monitoring system performance, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring optimal operation of IT solutions. The role may also include assisting in developing and implementing IT strategies that align with clients’ business objectives.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in network configuration, systems management, and server administration
- Proficiency in cybersecurity practices and protocols, including threat detection and prevention
- Experience with Cloud technologies, including Office 365, Google Workspace, or similar platforms
- Ability to conduct troubleshooting and resolve technical issues quickly and efficiently
- Understanding of IT strategy and the ability to align technology solutions with business needs
- Excellent problem-solving skills, communication, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA, MCSA, or similar are a plus
- Previous experience in IT Managed Services or supporting small to medium-sized businesses is highly desirable
