Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting with product demonstrations, and driving sales through effective merchandising and upselling techniques. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and have a passion for retail, particularly in a grocery store environment.
Duties
- Outbound Calling: Initiate a high volume of cold calls daily to prospective customers or lapsed clients based on provided contact lists.
- Lead Qualification: Qualify leads by conducting brief needs assessments and gathering essential information (e.g., contact details, pain points, purchasing authority).
- Service/Product Introduction: Clearly and concisely present the company's products, services, or special offers, adhering to a pre-approved script or talking points.
- Maintain Records: Accurately log all call activity, outcomes, and follow-up notes in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
- Handle Rejections: Maintain a positive attitude and resilience when faced with rejection or difficult conversations.
- Reporting: Track and report on daily/weekly metrics, including calls made, contacts reached, and appointments set.
- Door to Door Sales: Maintaining a log of leads when going door to door, keeping a professional appearance and positive attitude while dealing with customers face to face.
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with basic math concepts to handle transactions accurately is essential.
