CARGO VAN DRIVER (Bronx, NY 10461)
Starting Pay: $23.75/hr.
JOB DUTIES:
- Operate a cargo van to complete assigned delivery routes safely and efficiently.
- Load, transport, and deliver packages to designated locations.
- Perform frequent walking throughout the workday while making deliveries.
- Lift, carry, and move packages weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Follow assigned schedules, routes, and delivery procedures.
- Provide professional and courteous customer service.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance concerns.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation as required.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Valid driver's license.
- Minimum 5 years of driving history.
- At least 1 year of experience operating a cargo van or similar commercial-size vehicle preferred.
- Ability to safely lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to perform extensive walking and physical activities throughout the workday.
- Strong time management, organizational, and navigation skills.
- Reliable and dependable attendance.
- Ability to work independently and meet delivery deadlines.
