Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Brownsburg, IN for a Quality Engineer. The Quality Engineer will be responsible for overseeing quality assurance, quality control, and the overall quality management processes. Daily tasks include evaluating product quality, implementing quality-related procedures, performing audits, monitoring compliance with certifications and standards, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to uphold the organization's commitment to precision and performance.
- Operate and uphold the in an ISO 9001 and AS 9100 environment.
- Achieve the company’s high-quality mission by developing and implementing end to end quality procedures and protocols.
- Operate CMM and scanning inspection equipment and technology to report data for production programs, FAI and Aerospace customer requirements.
- Implement and maintain the company's quality documentation, such as quality procedures, in process inspection reports and prints
- Responsible for continual improvement activities to enhance the products and the environment; through training and work instructions.
- Work with cross-functional teams to develop quality inspection plans for current and new products.
- Conduct audits with reporting to identify potential failures and preventive actions.
- Investigate defect root causes and implement corrective/preventative.
- Responsible for organizing and managing the activities of receiving and outgoing quality functions
- Manage and develop supplier quality compliance and performance protocols and address supplier fallers and corrective actions.
- Manage and develop supplier quality protocols.
- Prepare and manage of QA reports.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Quality Engineering and Quality Management practices
- Strong expertise in Quality Control and Quality Assurance processes
- Experience in assessing and maintaining Product Quality
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of AS9100D and ISO 9001:2015
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field
- Previous experience in the Defense, Aerospace, or Motorsports industries is preferred
