Logistics Operator – 1st Shift
South Bend, IN
As a Logistics Operator, you will be responsible for the receiving and shipping of materials to and from the warehouse, to stage materials for production as needed, and to transfer materials from production back to the warehouse.

Responsibilities:
- Perform the loading and unloading of trucks and shipping containers; following warehouse procedures and in conformance with all SHE policies and instructions.
- Records all relevant data in SAP or other system per work instructions. This includes transactions for the transfer of materials from production as well as receiving material back into the warehouse. It also includes receiving materials from inbound shipments and for outbound shipments.
- Organizes storage in such a way that use of the floor area is optimized and the physical movement of materials in and out of the racks is minimized.
- Check the condition of incoming and outgoing transport per a written procedure, both visually and by means of a checklist. Repairs minor defects or arranges for repair. Consults Quality Assurance in case of major shortcomings.
- Safely operates a lift truck to move materials and operates a wrapping machine to shrink-wrap pallets of materials. Bands pallets are to be shipped per customer requirements.

You bring:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Must be 18 years old to work in a plant job.
- Basic computer skills
- At least one year warehouse experience preferred.
